After focusing on creator tools, YouTube is now focusing on a better viewer experience. Among creators, YouTube recently rolled out comment management and copyright protection tools. For viewers, they introduced a new 4k Plus package on YouTube TV. Today, YouTube launches “New to You.”
“New to You” is an updated YouTube feature that shows recommendations to viewers of videos they have not yet seen before. Still, these recommendations align with their personal interests and preferences. On YouTube’s mobile homepage, the “New to You” tab can now be seen on top of the scroll bar. It highlights new video topics that viewers can explore. Also, once a viewer finishes scrolling his or her regular feeds, the “New to You” tab will appear. Again, tapping on the tab leads viewers to a new line of videos they may find interesting.
