YouTube wants to provide creators with valuable insights to guide them with their content strategies. The platform 2022 analytics expanded search insights and video performance filters on its mobile app. Search insights allow creators to see what their audience is looking for. On the other hand, video performances allow filtering of the effectiveness of videos per suggested topics. Today, YouTube expands key moments to mobile.
Connor Kavanagh, YouTube’s Ads Policy Manager, announces the update via the Creator Insider channel. Key moments are an existing feature of YouTube for desktop that allow viewers to jump to a specific part of the video through labels, timestamps, and thumbnails. Clicking on a key moment directs the viewer to a specific part of the video that he/she selected. Starting today, key moments parody is now available on YouTube for mobile. It is another feature previously on the desktop that is now on the mobile app.
YouTube expands key moments to mobile on 04 May 2022.
Implications to Marketers:
As YouTube expands key moments to mobile, the platform is also allowing marketers to boost engagement and interactions. A video player’s capability to highlight video clips can be an eye-catching point to the viewers.
