Twitter Tests Starting a Space in a Tweet

Twitter considers Spaces as its best asset. Twitter Spaces is a live audio room, similar to the Clubhouse app. It allows 2 co-hosts and up to 10 speakers. Recently, Twitter opened up Spaces to everyone as it is initially available to accounts with more than 600 followers. Today, Twitter tests starting a Space in a tweet.

Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineering expert, shows that Twitter users can now start a Space in a specific tweet. Like multi-attachments on a tweet, you can now upload a live audio discussion on it. Twitter tests starting a Space in a tweet as of 11 May 2022.

Implications to Marketers:

As Twitter tests starting a Space in a tweet, it can be an opportunity for marketers to spark conversations about behind the scenes, product launches etc. It can be a good way to boost brand awareness on Twitter.
