Twitter Enables Listening to Spaces Outside the Platform

Live audio room is now one of Twitter’s most popular features. That is why the platform continuously finds ways to enhance Spaces. As a clone of the Clubhouse app, it 2 co-hosts and up to 10 speakers in live audio rooms. Recently, Twitter enabled Spaces recording, Spark program, topic tags, and trending chats to boost its discovery. Today, Twitter enables listening to Spaces outside the platform.

If you have friends that are not on Twitter but would like to listen to a Space room, you can share the Space direct link for them to do so. That’s weird, but they tune in to a Space broadcast without logging in to a Twitter account. But they can only participate in the conversation by logging in to a Twitter account. They can neither react nor be invited as a guest.

Implications for Marketers:

As Twitter enables listening to Spaces outside the platform can boost the discovery of live audio rooms. For marketers, it gives them more ways to showcase their Spaces ads both inside and outside the platform.
