Twitter Launches Recording of Spaces

Here’s something new to Twitter Spaces! Twitter launches recording of Spaces to selected iOS hosts. Spaces are live audio rooms that allow 2 co-hosts and up to 10 speakers. Just like the Clubhouse app, they promote valuable conversations about anything under the sun.

Today, a Space host in Twitter for iOS can now record and replay their Spaces. They can also share it out with their audiences. As such, listeners on Android and iOS who failed to participate in a live Space can now catch up via a Space recording. They can also jump into a conversation within that recorded Space anytime. A Space host on Twitter for iOS can also download the audio and edit them into clips or podcasts to promote upcoming shows.

Twitter launches recording of Spaces on 28 October 2021.

Implications for Marketers:

Recorded Spaces allow new ways to re-share and re-use live audio conversations. For marketers, it may be interesting to see how Spaces would evolve as a marketing tool. With Twitter putting a lot of emphasis on enhancing Spaces, it can be a perfect marketing strategy to boost reach and sales.
