Instagram Will Soon Allow to Save Stories as Drafts

Around 500 million people use Instagram Stories every day. As such Stories ads have been an important part of social media marketing. There are lots of tools from Stories that brands can use to create engaging campaigns. These include AR filters, auto-captions, chat stickers, product tags, and timer listing. Another good addition is coming soon as Instagram allows to save Stories as drafts.

In a recent tweet by Alessandro Paluzzi, the mobile developer shows how the drafts process of stories will look like. After recording a video on the camera roll of Instagram Stories, Instagrammers now have an option to either discard or save the Stories as drafts. Users can access the drafts they have saved under the manage tab of Instagram Stories.

Instagram will soon allow saving Stories as drafts on 23 March 2021.

Implications for Marketers:

Saving Instagram Stories as a draft is a great tool for marketers in creating ads and campaigns within the platform. It gives them the flexibility to add elements and better craft their Stories content. At the same, it will be easier for them to publish the content in the most relevant time for their audiences.
