Here’s a new subscription from Twitter. Twitter launches “Super Follows Spaces.” It’s a new way to get more connected with Twitter followers or subscribers.
Twitter Spaces is a clone of the Clubhouse app for live audio rooms. It allows two co-hosts and up to ten speakers. Twitter introduced the Super Follow option during its 2021 Analyst Day. Such a feature opened up paid memberships on a Twitter account in exchange for exclusive content and tools. Recently, the platform made both Spaces and Super Follow available to everyone.
Super Follows Spaces allow creators to offer a premium subscription for Spaces only. It will have a different color palette for the Spaces link, together with a note that it is a broadcast for super followers only. Non-paying subscribers can also see the broadcast, but they need to pay as a super follower to join them.
Twitter launches “Super Follows Spaces” on 19 May 2022.
Implications to Marketers:
Super Follows Spaces offer an extra layer of live audio conversation among creators and marketers. They can be an extra revenue and, at the same time, a new way to boost engagement and reach.
