Together with a $1 million creator funding, the multi-messaging app enabled a Spotlight creator kit. Today, Snapchat launches the “Spotlight Challenge.”

Snapchat’s Spotlight Challenge offers Snap chatters to win $250 to $25k cash prizes for creating top-performing Spotlight clips. The contest is open for all U.S. users ages 16 years old and above. To participate, users need to go to Snapchat’s trending page at the top right corner of the Spotlight page. Select the specific challenge that you want to participate in. Create a Spotlight clip and upload. For additional information, tap the “Challenge Details” tab. Judgment criteria for the top 50 eligible, highest-viewed, and relevant Spotlight clips are:

- Innovative Use of Snap Creative Tools
- Unique POV
