When TikTok hit the spotlight, Instagram launched a clone called Reels. Instagram Reels are a 90-second video remix. Recently, Meta enabled Facebook Reels. Today, Meta adds new ways to create Reels.
Clip from the Transcript
Facebook and Instagram users can now create Reels from their existing videos in the Creator Studio. Meta is now notifying creators to trim existing videos and turn them into Reels. A clip from the transcript editing process will guide users to get the best part of an uploaded video and turn it into a Reels clip. Afterward, you can either publish, schedule, or save the created Reels clip.
Remix for Photos
Instagram also notifies users about the “Remix for Photos” option to create Reels. When posting static images, Instagrammers can use the tool to create Reels based on the feed post content. These Reels are downloadable, but users can switch the setting to disable Reels downloading.
Meta adds new ways to create Reels on 16 June 2022.
Implications to Marketers:
Short-form videos are still gaining popularity. As Meta adds new ways to create Reels, it is giving marketers more tools to simplify their campaign strategies.
