Ads are now on Instagram Shop tabs! Since 09 August 2021, the platform has been testing promoted product ads. It is a new addition to eCommerce functions like audio search, branded content, and Reels Ads. Today, Instagram officially launches promoted product listing.
Promoted product listing will appear as tiles on the Instagram Shop tab. After clicking a tile, users will be directed to a “Product Details Page.” The page shows information about the item, related products from the same brand, and views images of the said product. With promoted product listing, users can either
- Save the item to their wish list
- Share the product ad with a friend
- Hide or report the ad
Promoted product listing will now be available in countries with Instagram Shop.
Instagram officially launches promoted product listing on 24 August 2021.
