Besides Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels are becoming a vital element of engagement in the platform. Instagram Reels are video remixes imitating TikTok clips and can last up to 90-second. Then, there were the Reels ads with branded content and shopping tags. Today, Instagram introduces the boost Reels promotion option.
Instagrammers can now easily turn Reels into ads by boosting them via the new “Boost Post” option on a Reels grid profile. The Reels must last within 60-second and be vertically filmed in a 9:16 aspect ratio. The boost Reels promotion option is not allowed for Reels using third-party IP. Boosted Reels will appear in the Explore Page, In Feed, Reels tab, and Stories
