WhatsApp tries to find ways to make community chats more engaging. For a new messaging experience, the platform rolls out all emoji reactions. These include like, heart, care, happy, wow, sad, angry, raised hand, etc.
Back in May, WhatsApp enabled emojis for group chat. Today, all WhatsApp users for Android and iOS can respond to messages through a full emoji reactions bar. Tapping the “+” button at the end of the reaction will show a full emoji keyboard with more emojis that you can pick and use.
WhatsApp rolls out all emoji reactions on 11 July 2022.
Implications to Marketers:
The rollout of WhatsApp’s full emoji reactions may just be a minor update for marketers. Yet it can help them boost engagement as a habitual and instinctive response among consumers.
