Reactions are a great way to measure the performance of a social media post. But today, reactions are also important to gauge a messaging impact, especially for WhatsApp communities. After Meta launched WhatsApp Cloud API, WhatsApp’s detailed reaction for shared photos is coming soon.

Matt Navarra, the founder of Geekout, shares a tweet about how WhatsApp is making reactions a little bit better. Without having to open the album, WhatsApp users can now view detailed reactions to shared photos via thumbnails. Each piece will show the emoji used by every user who reacted to the image. Currently, users who signed as a tester for WhatsApp’s beta program or have manually installed WhatsApp’s APK can see the update.
WhatsApp’s detailed reaction to shared photos is coming soon as of 30 May 2022.
Implications to Marketers:
For marketers, reactions mean everything these days. Seeing them in detail can help them determine the performance of a WhatsApp ad or campaign.
