Live shopping is everywhere! Recently, YouTube tested such a feature. Facebook introduced live shopping Fridays, and Instagram showcased live shopping events. Twitter is joining the bandwagon as it enables live shopping today.
Live shopping on Twitter allows a user to:
- Check Shop banners and Shop tabs on the live event’s page
- Continue watching a live stream on the merchant’s website.
- Toggle back and forth between the Latest tabs and Shop tabs.
Twitter’s first test of live shopping is in partnership with Walmart on the 28th of November at 7 PM ET. Jason Derulo, a singer & social media superstar, kicks off the live event. It will be a 30-minute variety show highlighting apparel, electronic products, home goods, seasonal decors, etc.
Twitter enables live shopping on 23 November 2021.
