Recently, Instagram has been making many changes to its feed and timeline. The platform is currently testing ads on profiles, note shelves, and three different feeds. Today, Instagram says goodbye to full-screen feeds.
Instagram started testing full-screen feeds with updated navigation bars last June. It is a full-screen mode for feed videos with a description beside the Instagram logo. A navigation bar appears at the bottom while the other buttons float on top. Over the coming weeks, Adam Mosseri explains that they will be phasing out full-screen feeds. They will also be reducing recommended posts in the app. It is to grant Instagrammers clamor to make Instagram Instagram again.

Implications to Marketers:
Change is the only thing permanent in this world. Instagram wants to change for the better. As Instagram says goodbye to full-screen feeds, it signals marketers to revert to evergreen content.
