As moat businesses embrace digital shops after the COVID-19 pandemic, Facebook realizes the need for new skills. Even the Future of Jobs 2020 reported that nearly half of employees will need re-skilling by 2025. Last May, Facebook launched its 2nd Community Accelerator Program. Its main goal is to help Facebook Group admins to learn how to maximize impact among followers. The platform has also launched a series of social skills video training. Such a series focused on the best practices in advertising, conversion, media planning, and social media posting. Facebook also partnered with Coursera last April for social media marketing training. These include:

Today, Facebook offers 2 new digital skills training from Coursera. These are Marketing Analytics and Software Development. After completion of these programs, certified learners get exclusive access to a new job search platform initiated by Facebook. It is called the Facebook Certification Careers Network participated by 60 top employers like BBDO, Dentsu, Facebook, GroupM, Havas Media, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, Reprise Digital, Vayner Media, etc. Facebook is also giving 3,000 scholarships to COVID-19 displaced agencies and 100,000 scholarships to Facebook Certification to Black learners globally. This is in addition to the platform’s educational grant for indigenous learners, nonprofits serving Latinx, reentering citizens, military families, refugees, socio-economically disadvantaged groups, underserved schools, and veterans. Facebook has over 70 partner organizations that support them.
