Facebook is set to liven up the holidays among creators. Recently, the platform launched the Good Ideas Season, an Inspiration Hub, and XLS-R universal language translator. All of these new features can help brands and creators ramp up their ideas for the coming Christmas. Facebook has also provided creator monetization tools such as Stars. Every time a fan bought a Star, Facebook will give $0.01 to the creator. Today, Facebook launches Stars Fest.
Stars Fest is a month-long celebration that aims to recognize outstanding Facebook Creators. First off, Facebook is testing Stars to more places like the gaming tab, newsfeed videos, and Watch feeds. Second, it launches new features and tools to boost the use of Stars within the Facebook community.
Stars Badges & Leaderboard
Second, a new feature – the Stars badge – appears next to the top Stars senders for each creator. It will show different tiers depending on how many Stars they have sent over the past week. Alternatively, a Stars leaderboard will appear during a live stream showing the top star senders for a creator each week.
Stars Double Bonus
Creators can earn more with bonuses and free Stars through the Stars Double Bonus Program starting 31 March 2022. It is an invite-only bonus program where creators could earn up to $3,750 every month. Around $3 million free Stars will be given among Facebook users while watching a creator’s live video. They can send them immediately to their favorite creators.
Stars Party
People can now send stars together to have fun via Stars Party. Once triggered, a 5-minute countdown challenges participants to hit a common Stars goal together. Once the goal is met, shooting star animations will fly over the chat screen. This comes along with a giant “Thank You” message. Creators will receive a $50 bonus for every completed Stars Party from the 22nd of December 2021 to the 3rd of January 2022.
Stars Store
Facebook also launches a “Stars Store.” It is a website where people can buy Stars via Facebook Pay. The Stars will be kept in a virtual wallet and users can send them to their favorite Facebook creator anytime.
