Clubhouse Announces Partnership With TED

The Clubhouse app has recently lost its momentum after other social media networks clone its features. Facebook Hotline and Twitter Spaces focus on dominating audio rooms. But the Clubhouse app is determined to make a big comeback. Launched in March 2020, it recorded 13 million downloads during its 1st anniversary. It has also enabled Clubhouse for Android and partnered with the NFL Draft last April 2021. Today, Clubhouse announces a partnership with TED.

TED was founded in 1984 as a conference for technology, entertainment, and design. Today, it has become a community of popular short talks about business, global issues, and science. Clubhouse partners with TED to exclusive content from TED experts and thought leaders. The partnership kicks off on 12 July 2021 with a weekly room from New York’s bestselling author, A.J. Jacobs, and creative strategist, Mir Harris. The room is named “Think Your Ass Off.” More audio rooms will be added during this summer season.

Implications for Marketers:

The partnership of Clubhouse with TED can most likely maintain the app’s appeal. For marketers, partnering with popular personalities and thought leaders can greatly help with their Clubhouse marketing strategy. It is a potential option to explore the audio marketing trend.
