YouTube wants to unlock new revenue streams for its creators. The platform enabled the Super Family – Super Chats, Super Stickers, and Super Thanks. Among the three, super thanks become the most popular, with the option for customizable comments. Today, YouTube expands super thanks to 68 locations.
YouTube’s super thanks allow users to tip creators between $2 and $50 in exchange for animated GIF comments showing on top of the comment box. It was initially enabled by YouTube to a selected group of creators in July 2021. Today, YouTube is expanding the use of super thanks to 68 locations. These include the following regions:
