WhatsApp Enables Multiple Duration for Disappearing Messages

WhatsApp’s mission is to connect people to the world privately. That is why the platform values conversation that is not recorded and stored elsewhere. First, WhatsApp updated its privacy policy last May. It also enabled end-to-end encryption for chat messages last October. Today, WhatsApp enables multiple duration for disappearing messages

Disappearing Messages is a unique feature of WhatsApp that Facebook cloned as vanish mode in messenger. It makes any new messages sent to a WhatsApp user disappear after 7 days. Old messages and quoted messages will stay visible on the chatbox. Today, WhatsApp enables multiple duration for disappearing messages by adding 24 hours and 90 days as choices. This helps WhatsApp users decide how long a message lasts in their hands.

WhatsApp enables multiple duration for disappearing messages on 06 December 2021.

Implications for Marketers:

WhatsApp’s multiple duration for disappearing messages gives users more control over their chat messages. For marketers, it can be a great option to backtrack sales transactions that need follow-up.
