After the official launch of Twitter Blue, Twitter now updates its Super Follow options. Twitter Blue and the Super Follow are both paid subscriptions offered by the platform. Like Tomorrow, a paid weather service, these features require a monthly fee.
Reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong uncovers an image of how the Super Follow button will look like. It shows an invitation to selected Twitter users to access the Super Follow option and support the creators they love. Together with the said invitation messages, Twitter updates the options for such a feature. Accounts that have at least 10,000 followers and have tweeted at least 25 to 30 times within the past 30 days are eligible for a Super Follow button. A creator needs to choose the category of his or her content to activate the button. A new “Earning Estimator” slider shows the number of followers who need to sign up for a creator to make an X amount of money.
Members of the Twitter nation will be charged $4.99 monthly if they Super Follow an account. In exchange, they will receive the following perks:
- Bonus content in the form of exclusive tweets or newsletters.
- Special labels showing an account as a paying fan for extra attention.
Twitter also notes adding badges and connection options as Super Follow perks.
