Tweets are limited to 280 characters. But Twitter finds ways to make such limits limitless. The platform enabled notes, tweet storm, and a visual editor. Today, Twitter tests new features on notes.

Twitter notes allow users to write longer tweets as blogs. It consists of a 100-character title and a 2500-character body. Unlike regular tweets, they appear as a Twitter card once the blog is published. They can also be edited and come with a unique URL that navigates outside Twitter. Twitter now tests new features on notes. These include:

  • The author’s bio shows up next to a published note or at the bottom of each note
  • Block quotes in notes
  • Notes are now a part of Twitter Write
