Twitter Appoints New Internal Data Government Committee

The end of third-party cookies started last May! The implementation of Apple’s IDFA called for a user’s permission to either opt in or opt out to data tracking. As expected, a majority of consumers do not grant permission. In line with the new policy, Twitter has released data prompt explainers. Today, Twitter appoints a new Internal Data Government Committee.

The new Internal Data Government Committee (DGC) aims to protect privacy and security among the Twitter nation. The committee will oversee all decisions about the acceptable use of data within the platform. They will also review and approve Twitter’s privacy policy updates.

Twitter appoints a new Internal Data Government Committee on 11 November 2021.

Implications for Marketers:

As Twitter appoints a new Internal Data Government Committee, it is taking steps to improve safety and security. For marketers, it means a better way of governing data use and misuse to solidify Twitter ads and campaigns.
