Instagram Tests Pinned Posts on User Profiles

Do you know that you can pin a post on your Facebook profile? Once a post is pinned, it shows on top of a Facebook timeline. Instagram has been hinting to adopt it for a while. First off, they enabled comments and post moderation. Then, there were pin comments. Today, Instagram tests pinned posts on user profiles.

Salman Memon, a coding researcher, tweets something about the update. He shows a sample where some IG users can now select the “Pin to your Profile” option when they right-click the 3 dots on top of a post. It will dock the chosen post on top of the post grid.
