Instagram is celebrating another milestone. Instagram Shop has already turned 3! As it celebrates its 3rd anniversary, it deviates from the normal online holiday picks and live shopping. Today, Instagram opens a pop-up boutique in New York.
Instagram Shop already gained 1 million followers. It has been helping over 1000 small brands and businesses with amazing and unique products. On its 3rd anniversary, @shop will feature a spring and summer collection. Leigh Belz Ray, Instagram’s Editorial Lead, will host a live shopping event on the 19th of May. It will feature The Bon Bon Whims Club founders and Estelle Colored Glass.
It also opens a pop-up boutique in New York City featuring beauty, home, and lifestyle finds. The pop-up boutique starts on the 20th of May at 7 pm ET and ends on the 21st of May at 6 pm ET. The exact location is at W. 14th Street and 9th Avenue of Chelsea Triangle.

It seems that Instagram is testing the integration of live shopping and physical stores. As the world goes back to the new normal, marketers can model what Instagram is doing right now. Having both a brick-and-mortar and a digital shop may be the best way to bounce back.
