Google has been silent about its AR works. This is in reverse to Facebook who has been open to its augmented reality experiments. In 2019, the largest global search engine started using AR on beauty brands on YouTube. Today, Google is working on smart AR glasses.
According to a report from the New York Times, Google is sponsoring a new project under North, which the platform acquired last June 2020. North is formerly Thalmic Labs and focuses o creating smart glasses with superimposed computerized data. No other information has been announced by Google.
