Facebook rebranded into “Meta.” But it continues to provide better connections. The platform recently added interactive AR/VR effects on Messenger. It also enabled quick access tabs in searches and expanded the availability of live audio rooms. Today, Facebook enables spotlight conversations.
Social media expert, Matt Navarra, gives a preview of spotlight conversations in a tweet. The new feature will allow Facebook users who have created a post to invite guests using a dedicated and separate comment section within the post. It allows users to focus on the message exchange without interruptions. What makes spotlight conversations great is that the post will reach not only your followers but the followers of your guests as well.
Facebook enables spotlight conversations on 31 October 2021.
Implications for Marketers:
Spotlight conversations provide more means to share real-time chats. At the same time, it also boosts the reach of a Facebook post. Marketers can use spotlight conversations on celebrity interviews, Q&As, or product info sections to boost the reach of Facebook ads and campaigns.
