Facebook adds these new monetization opportunities through the expansion of the Rights Manager. It’s a reference library protecting the rights of Creators over the content they have posted on Facebook. Under the “Collection Ad Earnings,” a match rule option allows creators to detect duplicated content. Once it’s detected, Creators can claim earnings on the ad.

Facebook also updates its exportable revenue reports and insights on monetization opportunities. These can now be managed on mobile apps also. The platform also expands In-Stream Ads to 4 more countries:

  • Egypt
  • Iraq
  • Morocco
  • Turkey

To date, In-Stream Ads will be available to 49 countries where eligible pages can monetize their videos.

Facebook adds new monetization opportunities as of 16 November 2020.

Implications for Marketers:

Facebook’s new monetization opportunities can help Creators claim revenues over their created content. It offers great benefits to marketers by claiming what’s rightfully their ads. This promotes the need to create one-of-a-kind content that will stand out from the crowd.
