Last September 2021, WhatsApp enabled end-to-end encryption. It is another security layer for private messaging. E2E also allows archive options for chat, disappearing messages, and voice message preview. Today, WhatsApp launches an end-to-end encryption campaign.
WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption campaign highlights a 15-second comedy video about a postman delivering open letters and reading with the receiver. It shows that WhatsApp messages are fully encrypted and secure. WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption campaign also notes that 5.5 billion text messages are sent every day. These messages are not encrypted therefore, they may not be privately secured.
WhatsApp launches an end-to-end encryption campaign on 30 January 2022.
