Twitter Launches Full-Width Visual Displays

Lately, the Twitter nation has been seeing something new on its Twitter pages. Twitter has redesigned its visual elements. The platform enabled 4k images,  full image display, and images with no margins. Today, Twitter launches a test of full-width visual displays.

Twitter image format update

Twitter’s full-width visual displays apply to images, GIFs, and videos. It is currently under live test on in-stream tweets. A horizontal edge-to-edge visual will now show instead of the old round design. With no margins around them, full-width visual displays on Twitter will take up space more efficiently. The update initially applies to iOS users.

Implications for Marketers:

Twitter’s full-width visual displays can be a new consideration for marketers to use images on tweets. By making images and videos stand out with a more solid display, Twitter users can better have a grasp of the products and services that a brand offers.
