TikTok Tests Integrated Stories

TikTok has gone a long, long way. Since it hit the spotlight two years ago, it became one of the most used apps in the world. As an eCommerce push, it launched a business creative hub. It also enabled eCommerce ads and lead generation tools. Today, TikTok tests integrated stories.

Social media expert Matt Navarra shares the update through a tweet by @adrianokev1. As TikTok tests integrated stories, they will no longer appear on the sidebar. A new story creation mode called “Quick” now shows a “+” button to create a new story. The story then integrates and shows up with a blue story tag on the “Following” and “For You” feeds in the TikTok app. As such users can now see anyone’s story.

Implications for Marketers:

TikTok’s integrated stories show that the app is set to beat its Instagram counterpart. For marketers, these can be a new way to promote products and services. It may be worth it for brands to tap into TikTok’s popularity at the moment.
