It seems that Pinterest is following in Instagram’s footsteps. Recently, Instagram rolled out a display of scheduled live streams. Today, Pinterest tests highlights on idea pins.
Pinterest’s idea pins are multi-page short videos. They contain up to 20 frames and can last up to 60-second. The platform is also testing sharing them on Facebook and Instagram. They can also be converted into idea ads.
Highlights on idea pins allow creators to showcase them on their Pinterest profile. A “Created” tab below the bio info will display idea pins in perpetuity, as opposed to disappearing after 24 hours. Highlights will also display idea pins in posted order. The update is currently showing up on the Android version of the Pinterest app.
