Pinterest recently announced a series of advertising and shopping updates. These include a direct check-out option and a fresh shop display for Shopify merchants. It also enabled sharing ideas pins to other social media platforms. Today, Pinterest partners with WooCommerce.

WooCommerce is an open-source eCommerce platform. With around 3.6 million merchants, the new Pinterest WooCommerce extension allows them to turn their product catalogs into shoppable pins. What makes it easy is that once a merchant installs the WooCommerce Pinterest extension, the merchant’s entire product catalog automatically uploads on Pinterest. As pinners browse and search for things to buy, they will show up on feeds. All details automatically update including the pricing and product availability.
Pinterest partners with WooCommerce on 12 April 2022.
Implications for Marketers:
Pinterest’s partnership with WooCommerce makes it easier to convert product listings into buyable pins. It expands marketing reach and revenues to a broader pool of merchants and pinners alike.
