Everything is virtual in the new normal. Especially for professionals, the pandemic resulted in online collaborations and work from home setups. To provide an easier way to network in the platform, LinkedIn rolls out video meetings.
LinkedIn Video Meetings allow users to catch up with colleagues, chat with clients, or view online events together. Just click the video meeting icon in a message thread. If you’re a first-time user, you’ll be asked to log-in or sign-up for an account either on:
- BlueJeans by Verizon
- Microsoft Teams
- Zoom
You can then access or generate a meeting link after logging in on any of the three apps.
LinkedIn rolls out video meetings as of 19 October 2020.
Implications for Marketers:
LinkedIn Video Meetings are a new way to connect with professional communities. For marketers, this can be a new option for video marketing. Around 84% of buyers reported buying after seeing a brand’s video. As such, brands can use video meetings to invite followers in joining a new product launch or promotional event.
