Facebook Launches the “Good Ideas Festival”

Training has been an integral element in Facebook. It is how the platform helps brands, businesses, and communities to strive and thrive. Last May 2020, Facebook Blueprint started offering free courses for online businesses. Boost with Facebook initiated the platform’s 1st ever virtual training from 24 June to 27 July 2020. This is called the Summer of Support Program. Last 15 July 2020, Facebook set up Rise, a free advertising program through Facebook Groups. Today, Facebook launches the “Good Ideas Festival.”

“Good Ideas Festival” is another series of training under Boost with Facebook. It kicks off on 28 June 2021 in honor of the United Nation’s MSME Day (Micro-, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day). The main festival week will happen from 12 July to 16 July 2021 via Facebook for Business and Instagram Page. Zoe Saldana, a popular American actress will host the event. During the 3-week celebration, “Good Ideas Festival” will showcase the following:

  • Success stories of small businesses
  • Training on Facebook and Instagram tools for business
  • Training from Facebook partners

Facebook launches the “Good Ideas Festival” on 28 June 2021.

Implications for Marketers:

Facebook’s “Good Ideas Festival” seeks to make the platform become a bigger eCommerce hub among SMEs. For marketers, this is something worth participating in. It can help brands diversify their advertising revenues. As part of the celebration, Facebook is also delaying its plan to collect a commission on paid events and subscriptions.
