Testing ads and campaigns just got more powerful on Facebook? Facebook upgrades its A/B testing tool. It allows marketers to test and learn Facebook ads using brand surveys and hold out a test. Matt Navarra, a social media expert, tweets the update.

As Facebook upgrades the A/B testing tool, advertisers can now run different versions of tests. These include combinations of images, links, texts, and videos. To optimize audience response, advertisers can now choose different key metrics:
- Comments
- Link Clicks
- People Reached
- Reactions
- Shares
Users can also test titles and thumbnails of up to 4 video posts for the same clips. Users can run Facebook’s upgraded A/B testing tool for up to 24-hours to provide valuable insights and discover the most effective version. To try out the upgraded A/B testing tool, just go to Facebook Creator Studio and click “Create Posts,” then choose “Create Post Tests.”
Facebook upgrades its A/B testing tool on 22 September 2021.
