Facebook has been rolling out several visual tools in the past months. They enabled creative effects on Messenger desktop, motion effects for photos, and vanish mode on Messenger. Such updates seem to be minor for brands and businesses, but they shouldn’t be taken for granted. This goes the same as Facebook tests a visual-focused post composer.
Social media expert, Matt Navarra, recently tweeted an image showing a “Choose Photo” option below the panel of Facebook’s post composer. He mentioned that it’s showing in some users in the U.S. Once a user clicks the “Choose Photo” option, it leads to the latest images from one’s camera roll. As such, this visual-focused post composer makes it easier and quicker to upload photos.

Implications for Marketers:
Facebook tests a visual-focused post composer to encourage users to add visuals on their updates. For marketers, this is an easier way to add visual posts. Remember that photos receive much more engagement on Facebook than text content. Such an update makes it easier for brands to consistently post media content on their Facebook Pages.
