Elon Musk Announces Major Changes on Twitter

Here are some more updates as Elon musk is set to take over Twitter’s ownership after becoming the largest stakeholder last April. With his big plans to ramp the platform up, Elon Musk announces major changes on Twitter.

  • First off, Elon Musk does not adhere to permanent bans on social media accounts. That is why he announces reactivating Donald Trump’s Twitter account. Musk noted that it was a mistake by Twitter to put a permanent ban on Trump’s account at Twitter. Jack Dorsey, the former Twitter CEO, agreed with Musk on the said issue.
  • Second, Musk will also bolster free speech on the platform. He wants to make it clearer for users if the platform takes action over their tweets.
  • Third, he also plans to eliminate bots promoting scams and spams by making Twitter’s algorithm publicly available for everyone.

Elon Musk announces major changes on Twitter as of 10 May 2022.

Implications to Marketers:

Marketers have to wait and see what will happen to Twitter as soon as Elon Musk takes over. But everything is in a positive light since Musk had a reputation for bringing financial successes.
