As part of their thrust to empower SMEs across Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council has launched the Digital Academy: a collection of free digital marketing training courses geared towards helping SMEs learn and develop their skills in digital marketing. With the courses, SMEs are given indispensable digital knowledge, which they can use to further promote and develop their businesses, especially while navigating the New Normal of today’s world. Bernie Wong, the owner and founder of Social Stand Limited, is a lecturer for two of the Digital Academy’s courses.
Bernie Wong has over 15 years of professional experience in the field of digital marketing, and he has worked with Fortune 500 brands such as Starbucks, GAP, Adidas, Disney, and Tempo in implementing effective and engaging digital marketing strategies. Let us take a look at the two courses he prepared.
The first course is an overview of social media marketing titled: “Digital Marketing Series | Social Media Dos and Don’ts”. Social media has brought about many new opportunities for brands to reach out to their customers. However, social media marketing is a skill, and one must be familiar with how to properly use it to successfully promote their business. Bernie’s course helps brands and marketers alike know how to use social media to help them maximize the effectiveness of their social media marketing strategies.
The second course discusses creating content for social media. It is titled: “Content Winning Series | How to Customize Promotional Content for Social Media”. Bernie stresses how important a platform social media is for corporate publicity. The key to success on social media is churning out well-designed and creative publicity content. Bernie’s course helps brands and marketers tap into their creative sides to create engaging and effective content for their social media marketing strategies.
