Jay Graber to Lead Twitter’s Bluesky

Have you ever heard of Bluesky? It was an open-source project founded by Twitter Chief Jack Dorsey in 2019. Bluesky is a decentralized social media working group. Today, Twitter announces Jay Graber, CEO of Happening to lead Bluesky.

Jay Graber was a software engineer and is heavily involved in cryptocurrency. Bluesky’s mission is to innovate and return user control on social media. It is the same key evolving around cryptocurrency. Both projects aim to keep the power away from big banks and government regulators. 

The three key focus areas of Bluesky are:

  • Enhanced facilitation of efforts to address abuse and misleading information
  • Enable social media community and users to give more input in algorithms
  • Improve conversation by giving people more control
