Facebook Celebrates Latinx and Hispanic Month - Social Stand

Facebook Celebrates Latinx and Hispanic Month

Facebook’s mission is to bring the world closer together. To give people the power to build community, the platform promotes inclusion and diversity.  Last June, Facebook celebrated “Pride Month” with a range of new features. It also launches new features for Diwali, Paralympics games, and Tokyo Olympics. Today, Facebook celebrates Latinx and Hispanic month.

Facebook Latin and Hispanic Heritage Month guide

The observance of Latinx and Hispanic Month started in 1968 and became a month-long celebration (every 15th of September to 15th of October) in 1988. It commemorates the “Independence Day” of several Latin American countries. This year, to remember the hard work of the Latinx and Hispanic communities, Facebook publishes a Guide for Business – Celebrating Latinx and Hispanic Month. The 25-page guide features insights and inspiration from Latinx and Hispanic businesses and creators. It also features Facebook’s commitment to the Latinx community.  Enrique Larios, an illustrator based in Guadalajara, designed the cover of the guide.

Facebook Elevate will also put Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month in the spotlight during the month-long celebration. Live conversations will be hosted by:

Hispanicize websites on Facebook will stream these pre-recorded conversations starting the 30th of September.

Facebook celebrates Latinx and Hispanic month as of 15 September 2021.

Implications for Marketers:

As Facebook celebrates Latinx and Hispanic month, it promotes equality among communities. Marketers can grab the chance to participate in such a celebration to satisfy customer demands while supporting the excluded or underrepresented groups.
